KIUCHI, WHO? - designer's profile -

He was born in Yokohama, Japan, toward the end of the Second World War.  He studied electronics and mechanical engineering at a technical high school, and majored in the English language and foreign business practice at a business college.

Then, he began his career as an international businessman, for more than 35 years by now, mainly handling beauty products for both consumers and professionals.  He works at his own venture, MAYNN Ｉnternational Corp., since 1997.

Through the experiences, he has awakened his duty that, beside import and export, he should also introduce the Japanese spirits, cultures and traditions to the overseas countries by the means of professional tools, and, as a start, he chose the hairdressing scissors that are nowadays made by the computerized technology, and, yet, finished by the skilled hands of artisans called SHOKUNIN here.

Lately, he plans, designs and manufactures such hair cutting tools as scissors and razors.  He also designs labels, leaflets, packages and component parts of his products, including the current corporate logo marks and this web site...

Some of his friends regard him now as an industrial designer. (- to be continued -)
